During March and April we were in six mission conferences in the states of Iowa, Michigan and Tenessee. It was good to see several missionaries that we had not seen in a long time and to meet several missionaries for the first time. Each conference was a blessing.

The work in Brazil is doing well. We talk with Pastor Messias or some of the people there almost every week. Last week we received a letter and three DVDs that they had made in and around the church. One was of the anniversary service. In Brazil most of our churches have two days for the anniversary celebration. On Saturday they have a service and invite people from all our independent Baptist churches and on Sunday the service is made up of members of the church and local visitors. On Saturday they had almost two hundred in attendance and on Sunday they had over one hundred in attendance.

During the last few weeks, three people accepted Christ as Savior. One was the father of one of the young people of the church. We had visited this man many times over the last five or six years and he had visited the church several times. The other two who were saved were a teenager and a child.

July is the month for camp. There will be three weeks of camp; one week each for the youth, adolescences and children. As always, a lot of work and expense is being put into the preparation for camp and the price of camp for the campers is kept to the minimum (about $15 each). But each at this price many do not have the money to pay for camp. We want to raise money to pay for at least 30 campers so we are asking for churches, Sunday School classes or individuals to consider sponsoring one or more campers with a gift of $15 each.

We are making plans to return to Brazil in August. Yesterday, we applied for our new Passports and were told that it would take ten weeks to get them. We ask you to pray for us as we prepare to return to Brazil, that all will go smoothly.
